Mum bought a washer from Harvey Norman and she was offered a redemption of a $50 NTUC voucher and a LG cushion. For the sake of the $50 NTUC voucher, we floundered our way to The Bencoolen.
We reached The Bencoolen and we were scouring highs and lows for it, and there it is- hidden cryptically at a corner up to a staircase.
Damn suay (unlucky), the voucher was out-of-stock and we could only cuddle the small pathetic cushion back home which the Harvey Norman's salesman deemed as a "pillow".
Never mind, we continued to maunder our way around Bencoolen street foraging for food as Mum was hungry and TADA!- A revelation!
We discovered a Thai restaurant which is opposite of NAFA, situated at Sunshine Plaza.
Anoy-Dee Thai
We ordered
Tom Yum seafood soup- S$6
It's super spicy and those can't take spicy food, are not recommended for this. Albeit its spiciness, it tastes very nice and amount of spices added is adequate, not too overwhelming.
Mum is relishing her bowl of soup that she gazed off from my camera.
BBQ squid- S$8
Squids were very fresh that sprung within your mouth. A spicy savoury sauce was given for dip.
Mango salad- S$5
An appetizing dish that stirred up your appetite for more.
Concentrating on her food
Finally, she responded to my camera and gave a 'thumb-up'.
I'm the boss again for this meal, but affordable as it cost me a total of S$19 only.. No GST, service charges, blah.....
Furthermore, 2 glasses of ice water for FREE!
Not being overstated, as a glass water at other restaurants may charge you around $0.50.
Yeah, hurray for saving S$1!
