Marble butter cake

Marble butter cake is a easy cake to play around and no fuss about it ;P
What is meant by 'playing around' is the relish or zeal with the batter to create a marble-liked effect.

Sift confectioner's sugar and cocoa powder together. Add in milk to the mixture.

The consistency should be just right to form a smooth paste. Set aside.

Cream butter and sugar till smooth.

Add in vanilla essence and eggs (1 at a time) and beat till light and fluffy.

Add in milk to the egg+butter mixture.

Fold in sifted cake flour, corn flour and baking powder into the mixture.

Divide into 2 portion.

Add the chocolate paste which was prepared precedently into 1 of the portions of batter. Mix well.

Add in the batters alternatively to the loaf pan.

Create swirls with a chopstick on the surface of the batter. Bake in preheated oven at 170C for 40-45mins.

Hmm... Freshly baked from oven.

Out of the pan!

Look at the swirls of the cake, so intricating!

Best served with ice-cream and self-made chocolate sauce as accompaniments!
Ambrosial~ Yum~
